Liquid roofing is the procedure of waterproofing, Washington a roof by the supplication of a proficient liquid roof coating. It is suited to all types of roof which includes, flat, pitched & domed. The idea of liquid roofing has existed since (at least) the first 1800s, once natural hydrocarbon was combined with jute, straw, rag felt and alternative imitation materials to produce a waterproofing resolution for roofs. Within the early twentieth century the manufacture of liquid roof coatings became a billboard activity, with the earliest coatings being supported liquefied rubber. The Nineteen Sixties and Seventies saw the introduction of acrylics, acrylic emulsions, polyvinyl resin butadienes and unsaturated polyesters, that semiconductor diode to improved quality and sturdiness of the coatings. In 1975, the primary water primarily based elastomeric roof coatings were introduced. Within the late Eighties, single element moisture-cured polymer coatings were developed and stay the premise of the bulk of today's cold liquid applied roof coating technologies. Liquid roofing involves the applying of a monolithic, absolutely secured; liquid based mostly coating to a roof. The coating cures to make a rubber-like elastomeric waterproof laminate, skillful of stretching and returning to its original form while not injury. Such coating systems area unit typically strengthened with secondary materials like glass-reinforced plastic to produce further enduringness. The coatings are often applied over most ancient roofing materials together with, felt, asphalt, hydrocarbon and concrete.
Unlike the installation processes of felt, asphalt and hydrocarbon membranes, liquid roofing doesn't involve hot works. Hot work on roofs is a particularly bad method, that poses a big hearth risk to contractors yet because the building and its occupants. The coating material employed in the liquid roofing method is applied cold, so negating any hearth risk.

Needs & Types of Waterproofing

Waterproofing: this word describes Waterproof or water resistant, which describes relatively unaffected by the water or resisting the ingression of water under some specific conditions. It describes mainly for making an object, which is waterproof or resistant. It often refers to the penetration of water in a liquid state of form. Most of the modern items are waterproofed by adding or applying some water repellent coatings with the gaskets or the rings.
Types of Waterproofing: construction waterproofing, oil based water proofing, & waterproofing objects.
Construction waterproofing: used in the buildings, use of the membranes & the coatings to protect contents or as well as protecting the structural integrity. It is used in the structures of buildings or apartments, watercrafts, canvas, clothing’s (raincoat, & waders). In construction it needs, concrete itself & will not be water light, its own. A conventional system of this waterproofing mainly involves membranes. An application of one or more of the membranes which acts as a barrier between the water & the building structures, which prevents the structure of the water. This system of membrane mainly relies on exacting applications, & presenting difficulties. Most of the construction industry has many technological advances in the waterproofing materials, includes integral waterproofing system as well as advanced membranes materials.

Oil based Waterproofing: it is basically used for roof leakage after the construction, like the primers.
Water proofing Objects:  this technique been implemented, various types of objects which is going from various clothing products to the paper packaging etc. A new type of technology enabled the releases of diverse, water resistant, smart phones & the tablets.
Basement waterproofing: refers to those techniques used to prevention of waters, which is entering the basement of the houses. This technique is needed anytime for a structure built at the ground level or below the ground. It s considerations are mainly needed in ground water cases which is likely to build up in the soil & raise, the water table. Some of the few measures for developing or to prevent these problems are differ in design & ideology. Methods are floor sealers & interior wall, interior water drainage, & exterior water drainage which combined with water proofing coatings.

Waterproofing is not to be considered or should not be considered with the roofing, as the roofing necessarily withstands with the hydrostatic head & the waterproofing can.
